About

“Most of life is routine – dull and grubby, but routine is the momentum that keeps a man going. If you wait for inspiration you’ll be standing on the corner after the parade is a mile down the street. ” ~Ben Nicholas

This is the story of a girl who met a guy, got hitched, had a baby and decided she didn’t really care for sleep, so gave him a sister, and decided to do the whole child rearing thing 24 hours a day.  In a fog of sleep deprivation and cold cups of coffee, she quit her job and closed her business (she had two jobs for while) and has lost herself in a rather “dull and grubby” life as head of household which fills her days with laundry, the buying and cooking of groceries, cleaning bums and having fun with her littles.

Gaining Momentum MamaShe likes this little routine life dedicated to her family, but she knows that once and a while she has to live her own life too because she wants her eulogy to be more exciting than “man, she folded a mean pair of socks”.  While she’s waiting to get started on that bucket list, she convinced her hubby that building a house would be an awesome idea and being the awesome guy he is, he agreed and that is how gaining MOMentum got started as a way to share the ups and downs of that project.  But you can bet she’ll fill this blog with all the dull and grubbiness she can think of.

She may or may not have written this with a bucket on her head.
